Too bad they didn’t make a teewinot to corbets for me and the bortz in 1991 when we were two new jersey dudes learning to ski. (For those that remember, bortz was commonly seen in a pair of descent stretch pants, a army navy surplus rain jacket as shell, tied around waist with a rawhide rope Right before mardi gras that year we figured it was time for our corbets descent. Rather than deal with the entrance, bortz decided to just bomb straight in off the middle at full speed, (a style pioneered by Larrow.) It went quite well,he probably got about 60 feet of air before the explosion, and because he had his rain slicker on, he managed to slide for life just about to the tensleep roller. For those that remember the lack of snow that winer of 91 and 91, corbet was boiler plate just about all year. Luckily, bortz was bionic, and he fortunately never made that trip to teton orthopeadics.
Get well soon Lauren!!!
One thing to remember…some of the softest days in Corbet’s are after the Village closes.
Sorry to hear.
