This is madness!
THIS . . . IS . . . WINTAH!
Emilie Lee, who created our new banner, is crazy talented. Check out some examples from her climbing/dirtbagging/art journal, the Dumpster Diaries, and her blog, Choss Pile, which is filled with paintings, drawings, collages, photos, and dispatches from the tumultuous life of an artist who allows few compromises in life or art.
Also, go watch “Finding Balance,” a short film she made with her main man, musician and songwriter Lucas Reynolds.
Thanks for the banner, Emilie!
Irresistible.

The Snaz will be poking around in the deserts of southern Utah for the next couple of weeks, mostly climbing in Indian Creek. We’ll try to post a few things here in that time, but the whole idea is to get away from the square-headed taskmaster for a while.
We’ll be back November 1.
With all the fresh snow in the mountains, I thought I would add to your ski jones with this short promo I just put together for Valdez Heli Ski Guides.
A few weeks ago, ace flyer Matt Combs and Justus Meyer headed down to Big Sandy Reservoir to try some kite boarding. Because Justus had a wetsuit, it was decided he would go first, braving the 30 mile per hour winds. As an afterthought, he strapped on a kayak helmet. Good call.
The helmet didn’t survive. Justus, amazingly, did.
Found an interesting sign while on my way up Snow King a few days ago. Somebody lost a wedding ring on the King switchbacks soon after his wedding here in Jackson Hole. The groom is obviously distressed about the loss, and if his description of the ring is any indication, may have a few reservations about marriage as well.
