A year ago, on August 11, 2007, Pete Absolon was killed while climbing in the Winds. He was hit by a falling rock, trundled from the top of Leg Lake Cirque by a hiker.
This short clip was shot by Andrew Chapman and edited by Dave Anderson, who says of Absolon, “Pete was a devoted husband, father, outdoor educator and passionate climber. Pete’s enthusiasm for life was infectious. His insights, ethics and general care for the people and world around him are sorely missed.”
