A year ago, on August 11, 2007, Pete Absolon was killed while climbing in the Winds. He was hit by a falling rock, trundled from the top of Leg Lake Cirque by a hiker.
This short clip was shot by Andrew Chapman and edited by Dave Anderson, who says of Absolon, “Pete was a devoted husband, father, outdoor educator and passionate climber. Pete’s enthusiasm for life was infectious. His insights, ethics and general care for the people and world around him are sorely missed.”

Thanks for sharing…it is great to see someone doing something they are so passionate about. So sorry for the loss of your friend! He obviously lives on in your memories…
I climbed a lot with Pete over the years but I had forgotten how powerful he was as a ckimber. Thanks for the memory.
