Haven for swimmers, tubers, sunbathers, and cliff-leapers, slack water provides alternatives to the Hole’s showier cultures of kayakers, wakeboarders, surfers, and fly-fishers. The jumping rock at Phelps Lake in GTNP is a slack water nexus, now more than ever, thanks to the newly shortened approach through the Lawrence Rockefeller Preserve. In other words, expect an audience for your 20-foot leap off the rock. Photos by DG, Sam Petri, and Henry Sweets.

NICE new site re-design! Congrats.
Nice!! I’m liking the way you observe with a camera. Artful and captivating. Real good.
