On Friday, February 5, the Enclosure hosts a special evening featuring Hans Florine, “the world’s fastest climber.” The event, part of the third annual Enclosure Anniversary Party, will begin at 5 p.m. with free pizza and beer for Enclosure members. At 8 p.m., Florine will present a multimedia show about his light and fast climbing adventures on the big rock walls of Yosemite. All proceeds from the $10 suggested donation benefit the Teton Boulder Project. Of Florine, Enclosure owner Andy Laakman says, “Hans literally wrote the book on Speed Climbing. He’s one of three humans to solo El Cap’s Nose route in a day, he has climbed El Cap three times in a day and Half Dome twice in a day, and he’s the only person to climb El Capitan twice in a day, solo. It’s an honor to have him in Jackson.”

if i ever have a son i might have to name him Hans…his odds of achieving a high level of Badassery will be pretty good i think.
