These boots belong to Heather McPhie, 25, who competed in the Olympics for the US Freestyle team in women’s moguls and took 18th place after falling on her final jump in the second round. She had taken 3rd in qualifications. Teammate Hannah Kearny won the event. Says photographer Hannah Hardaway of these boots, “Heather was ecstatic when Full Tilt sent her limited edition American flag ski boots this fall, an honor they reserved only for those they considered ‘Olympic hopefuls.’”
